My Thoughts on the Books I Read!

Originals - How Non-Conformists Move the World

Adam Grant’s books are not your typical self-help guides. I’m often turned off by authors who insist on prescribing perfect habits and practices to become great, awesome, or the best. When I picked up “Originals,” I initially expected it to be another one of those “do this to get that” books.

Sapiens - A Brief History of Humankind

Author: Yuval Noah Harari Publication Date: 2011

Finally sat down and read the Sapiens and I loved it. I have to complement the author for making a history book so interesting. I could write a whole book about this book 😊 It gets you thinking and questioning a lot. About religion, about our upbringing, about how we react to things around us, how we should educate our children, the financial system, the political system, the shortcomings, etc etc. I could go on. I don’t agree with everything he has to say, but I love how he shows you a different perspective. You can have endless discussions on the topics he addresses and I don’t know where to start. The book was written in 2014, I wonder how he would have concluded it in 2023. I just started on 21 lessons for the 21st century to find out.
