The Trial
It was confusing. I was confused when I read Kafka’s first book, Metamorphosis. I did not know what to make of it. The writing style was very interesting, and even though I thought I should quit reading it, I still had this urge to continue. The same thing happened with The Trial.
Each chapter left me feeling irritated, confused, bored, and yet intrigued. I finished both books, and I still don’t know what the hype is about. His writing style is unique, but he rambles on, and everything feels disjointed.
I think you have to make your own experience with the book. Is there a deep message behind all this? I am not sure. You should make your own conclusion. I think I will move on to my next book.
